They said Johnny C in the Glee version! Totally ripped it off!

Actually it does sound like a total rip off. I was expecting some vague similarities not something almost identical!

That is absolutely lifted directly from Jonathan Coulton’s arrangement. No doubt about it.

Here’s both versions at the same time:

Coulton in Left Ear, Glee in Right Ear. The vocals desync slightly, but the instruments… they’re the exact same.

“Johnny C’s In Trouble” is in the Coulton version — which would, of course, be Jonathan Coulton. It’s “Mix-A-Lot’s In trouble” in the original. And, in the Glee version it’s… “Johnny C’s in Trouble.”

Not only that, Coulton uses a duck quack to censor part of the song.

Which is in the Glee version.
