I’m sorry, but what the hell happened to Sandra Day O’Connor’s “no undue burden” clause? Was that reversed or something?

Within a month, women in Arkansas could be prevented from receiving abortion care, no matter what their circumstances.

“Abortion care” for the woman involves the death of an unborn child. What kind of a society have we become?

I hope we’ve become a society that allows women to do what they wish with their own bodies, and one that values a woman more than a blastosphere, an embryo, or a fetus.

Have a look at the UK papers re. Liverpool Care Pathway. There’s that word again….”care”. And “dignity”. Read it and see how inconvenient lives can be managed and costs contained. By the way, I see this in a very different light from traditional hospice care provided in the US.

Does this have anything to do with the subject of this Page? Are you comparing hospice care to gestation?

No. You’ve missed the point.

No. You’ve missed the point.

Why don’t you try explaining your point, then.

Roe v Wade had no affect on birth rates, it did, however affect maternal death rates. And of the children left motherless—as usual, once they are out of the womb, Whacko™ don’t care about them.

No, we haven’t.

Your point is that a human life begins at the moment of conception, and the product of conception overrides any other consideration at all. The result must be carried through to birth no matter what the consequences are to the mother.

That’s your point.

The rest of us disagree.

You know, I bet this asshole would have an entirely different outlook if it was his Wife who had been raped and impregnated.

But then again, He would probably just toss Her aside as damaged goods.

Sad isn’t it?

It’s also a particularly stupid viewpoint, since roughly 75% of conceptions end in a natural miscarriage wherein the fertilized egg fails to take hold.

IIRC, that’s what Plan B does — ensures it doesn’t happen.

Or so my limited understanding of how the relevant feminine plumbing works.

One that argues you have a right not to have someone else sponge off your organs without permission.

If you disagree can I borrow one of your kidneys for a while? It won’t be long, just nine months or so…..
