I decline. Why should I be interested in the opinions of a man who cheered us on to war in Iraq? And his only regret is Bush bungled the job? Plus I don’t trust the judgment of a homosexual male who claims he is a “proud Reaganite and Thatcherite” and a “conservative”.
“I supported it like a teenage girl supporting the Jonas Brothers,” confessed Sullivan,
Yea………I will read him for free but not for pay.
And thinking of Iraq makes me not want to vote for Hillary for pres either if I had a choice (though I would support her against a Republican in a heart beat).

RE: 2 Destro
I don’t have a beef about a “proud Reaganite”. In the 1980’s Republicans were still about solving problems. Mostly, I guess. The problems the GOP have now were simmering even then, but many of its leaders, even Dick Cheney (hard to believe - he was against the war before he was for it), were pragmatic men. I was through with th e party by the 1992 Presidential race. I’m still registered R, waiting for somebody to vote for in a primary. As far as the Dish is concerned, I’m a reader but not a subscriber. I would subscribe here first, when I can justify even the small amouint of money that I don’t really have right now.

I have a beef with a gay man (with HIV no less) being a “proud Reaganite”.
I understand why some people were proud Reaganites and still are while no longer Republican voters per say, but a gay man?
That’s like loving your abuser. Sullivan is Catholic so maybe that explains the masochism….
