I’m not worried because the teabag party will rise up immediately and organize protests against this tyrannical abuse of power.

As someone on a disability, which wingnuts cannot differentiate from welfare, this fills me with horror.

I got to be homeless for a while thanks to assholes like this.

Wingnuts really believe that people go on welfare because it’s easier and more fun than getting a job.

They don’t even realize that people who work at Walmart have to take food stamps and Medicaid because Walmart doesn’t pay them enough to live on! Coming soon to a “Right To Work” state near you!

They really do loathe people don’t they? The abuses of the politicians and the wealthy be damned, we have scapegoats to blame for all your problems. Piece of the sky falls on you, it’s your fault. Now go away. We have some American Exceptionalism to sell here to a getting dumber by the minute congregation. F’ing toads. *spit*

This is the core ugliness that the RWNJs need to hide with the culture war BS.

They have to have an enemy. They have sold a vision of a lost America that never existed to a contingent that doesn’t know the GOP would cut their throat in a New York minute. Hide? They rejoice in it. They bathe in it. They are a pack of circling hyenas with nothing but pain and suffering for “those”, “you”, and “them” people. That I ever voted for a Republican candidate for anything makes me wonder just what the hell I was thinking.

They fooled me too. I guess they were better able to hide the fever back then

Anyone who can’t see a genuine slippery slope with regard to mandatory drug testing for receipt of any sort of public service, I’m a bit wary of.

I saw a pic of Eric Cantor’s visit to a pre-school in DC in which he was holding one of those “brown” kids, and I thought the same thing: Cantor will snatch the milk from the kid’s mouth while holding him in his arms. The attempt by republicans to rebrand themselves will fail because many of them cannot prevent themselves from showing their contempt for some of us through the bills they propose and pass in the states. It will also fail because they still have politicians like Virginia Foxx in their party who compares expecting for-profit colleges to be accountable to the Holocaust.

Incendiary rage.

I am walking away from the keyboard now, before I explode in cusses.

Meet America’s Most Shameless Defender of the 1 Percent
More: Meet America's Most Shameless Defender of the 1 Percent, Harvard Economist Greg Mankiw It’s not really news that America’s economics departments, particularly at elite institutions, are stuffed with people whose careers are founded on protecting monied interests. But it’s pretty rare when someone just comes straight out and announces the fact. Meet Greg Mankiw, chairman and professor of economics at Harvard, one of ...

Nate Silver: Politico Co-Founders Lack ‘Curiosity for the World Outside of the Bubble’
"It's striking how preoccupied Harris and VandeHei are with the perception that Politico is too 'insidery,'" Silver wrote. "My personal critique of their work cuts a little deeper than that, however. It's not that they are too 'insidery' per se, but that the perceptions of Beltway insiders, which Politico echoes and embraces, are not always very insightful or accurate. In other words, the conventional ...

Jack Shafer: Snowden vs the Dragons
Reuters: But even the press in aggregate is not a friend to whistle-blowers, as its recent treatment of Snowden attests, what with the deep dives into his teen years (including photos), his education and employment history, his reputation as a loner and a “brainiac,” his pants-down hijinks, his online scribblings, his dancer girlfriend, his predilection for (in his own words) “post-coital Krispy Kremes.” Squeezing ...

Baker’s Graduation Cake Mix-Up Ends in Purr-fect Mistake
When Laura Gambrel, 22, of Zionsville, Ind., graduated from Indiana University in May, she wanted to keep the celebration pretty low key. She didn’t walk at the ceremony, nor did she have a party because she planned to go right back to the university this coming fall for grad school. It seemed only fitting then that the one thing her mother attempted to do ...
