Wow. Anyone who forms a group to counter Mothers Against Drunk Driving is either dealing with some serious inner demons or really has never developed a conscience.
Wingnuts would love him!

What a guy.

The Center for Consumer Freedom has challenged the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Union of Concerned Scientists, Center for Science in the Public Interest, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.[14] In late 2006, the company initiated a campaign to downplay the level of mercury in fish; their website encourages pregnant women to eat more fish (which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have recommended against for years), and calls findings that don’t support their claims “scare tactics.”

re: #2 Goosestepping Obama Tina Brown

Richard Nixon once greeted a car company lobbyist by saying, “These people [seat belt law activists] don’t want seat belts they want to destroy the system!”

Well there is a study suggesting that in countries where people eat a lot of fish there aren’t cases of postpartum depression, which is probably caused by the need for a lot of fatty acids to help form the baby’s brain.

You could compromise by eating fresh water fish like salmon that don’t have any mercury, especially since most are farm raised. Also they have the best oils

WHY SHOULD BUSINESS OWNERS HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING TO PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE? GIVE THEM A BOWL OF RICE AND GRUEL A DAY. BETTER YET THOSE CRYBABIES SHOULD PAY THEM FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF HAVING A JRRB!1!

Business owners who give these sob stories should be required by law to file the same sob stories in their quarterly reports to shareholders.

That would shut them the fuck up in no time.

I had to do a double-take there.

I associate the name Rick Berman to a rather successful TV/Movie producer during the 1980s-2000s.

We need to sic the Bolsheviks on this mob. Surely we have enough Bolshies stored in suspended animation or hibernating in Berkeley or somewhere: Just reanimate them (if GOP policies don’t do it first), give them some money and put them on a sealed train to Connecticut.

Who wouldn’t want to eat at a restaurant where sick employees are coughing, sneezing and vomiting all over your food?//

We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they're seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration's credibility deeply, ...

4 Things We Should Remember When Arguing About Politics
Political discourse in America has reached levels of douchebaggery previously only theorized about but never observed, like conversational dark matter. We're in a whole new world of hating people based solely on their opinions on a few key issues, and since this is unexplored territory, our conversations about politics are usually only a couple notches beyond the "hold your breath until the other ...

LAPD Reformed as Federal Oversight Lifted, City Leaders Say
Los Angeles leaders say the Los Angeles Police Department has undergone a dramatic transformation since federal oversight of the agency was ordered 12 years ago. The dismissal Wednesday of the so-called consent decree, which arose largely out of the Rampart corruption scandal and addressed basic problems of accountability that stretched back decades, delivered a largely symbolic, but nonetheless important milestone for the LAPD ...

What to do in Orange County - LA - San Diego
Seems a good way to solicit ideas for touristing destinations and activities. Will have 4-5 days so some opportunity for visiting multiple sites. And since I do have an interest in history and military history items in that area will be welcome suggestions. (The USS Midway down in San Diego is already on the list.) If there is anything California-geology related that would be ...
