These regional whack jobs should not be put in with the rest of gun owners or NRA members, some areas are more radical and dogmatic.

I’ll be happy to retract the article when the national NRA revokes their charter.

Moonbats or Wingnuts? I never know which one to use.

To quote Charles from earlier today:

This is why the “Bad Craziness” tag exists.

Oh No Skip! I’m in complete agreement..the NRA’s manifestos and almost complete opposition of it’s members to the boards politics is way beyond rational I’ts just that some areas are worse and may need special attention or just a few vocal idiots are the problem. And now in Waynes world we must fear roving bands and brooklynites.. these people have no clue..they just want profits from firearms..no matter how you slice it Waynes treading on shaky ground.

Pro tip: it’s not a good idea to link directly to images hosted at other sites. It’s called “hotlinking,” and it’s considered kinda rude because it uses the other site’s bandwidth to display the image.

Better to drag the image out to your desktop, then use the Upload Image feature of the Pages posting window, so it’s hosted here and everybody’s happy. (I went ahead and did this for your post.)

re: #7 Charles Johnson

Somethingawful.com used to have (may still have) the practice of detecting hotlinking images and redirecting the links to extremely NSFW content.

NRA national leadership should also be on the list of whack jobs. NRA members need to replace their leadership or quit if they disagree with LaPierre et al.

Where is the video clip that every single liberal blog on the internet is saying exists? The articles all say exactly the same thing. But curiously, not one single mainstream media outlet has covered this story. You would think they would be putting this ahead of covering the Chris Dorner story. The NRA is not responding and no one is discussing this on the radio. So, where did it come from? I say it is either a huge hoax or somebody pretending to be an NRA person in order to stir up the pot. Let’s see some real proof!

A couple of points. First, I don’t see any mention of a video clip in my excerpt or the original article.

Second, you’re questioning this piece because neither the NRA or (talk) radio has mentioned it. Would you really expect them to?

Third, I too don’t like single sourced stories, but considering that just last week the same Wisconsin branch of the NRA did say “We have a strong agenda coming up for next year, but of course a lot of that’s going to be delayed as the ‘Connecticut effect’ has to go through the process,” Welch, a former Republican state senator, told the Wisconsin’s NRA State Association during the legislative update. , I don’t find this story that farfetched.

Fourth, and for Charles, sorry for the hotlink.

Why is this under “moonbat’?

Why is this under “moonbat’?

Because I was confused. It has been changed.

I would simply echo Andrew Jackson and explain to Karl Koenigs that were he ever to get anywhere near his nullification goal I would “hang him as high as Haman.”

Pope Francis Says Atheists Who Do Good Are Redeemed, Not Just Catholics
Pope Francis rocked some religious and atheist minds today when he declared that everyone was redeemed through Jesus, including atheists. During his homily at Wednesday Mass in Rome, Francis emphasized the importance of "doing good" as a principle that unites all humanity, and a "culture of encounter" to support peace. Using scripture from the Gospel of Mark, Pope Francis explained how upset Jesus' ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...
