Wonderful!!! Thanks for posting.

Yes, I agree, there are those who think it would be appropriate.

As I said on the earlier thread, this wouldn’t humiliate me. it would piss-me off. Anyone who applied such a device to me better not sleep near me.

It’s always good to see what we came from and how much we’ve improved.

We’re still rising up from the muck, and not everyone wants to come along, but we’re not going to let them drag us back down to the terrible old ways.

Awesome torture device. Not the worst I’ve seen, I’m sorry to report - I have a book on medieval torture devices somewhere. Humans are horribly inventive when it comes to torture.

We were monsters. I wish I’d never learned about boating. Don’t look it up.

Indeed. The ones with the serrated or spiked tongue pieces that the woman in the video mentioned are the stuff of nightmares. *shudder*

The Scottish one that I chose for the accompanying photo is actually quite fine in terms of artistry/craftsmanship (much as it horrifies me to say that). I can’t figure out what it’s supposed to be though—sort of looks like a cross between a donkey and some sort of devil. The worst part about the fine craftsmanship is thinking of some guy lovingly working on each detail, knowing full well what the damned thing was to be used for. I wonder if that one was for upper class women…

I hesitated to post it, because of people who do the opposite of what they’re told.
