Derp. The signs are there to warn you to watch out and avoid totaling your car.

Well some of those deer must be able to read because most of them cross in the areas where the signs are.

anyone ever figured out if the little goobers you attach to the front bumper actually let the deer know you’re coming?

My grandfather spun an entire mythology out of Prince Falling Rock.

The problem with the signs that I see is that they’re pointing in the wrong direction. They should be facing where the deer would be coming from, not the road.

Stupid goobermint slackers. They can’t do anything right.

My mother-in-law had some of those on her car the day she hit a deer. It ran out from behind a car coming the opposite way. The other driver stopped and asked her if he could have the deer and she answered, “Only if I can use your phone.” She was just coming home from the chiropractor’s after feeling the best she had in years, too.

Signs that read “Deer Crossing” and the like are going to continue to pop up throughout our country including Avon Lake, but who are these signs for? Deer cannot read, do not obey the law and probably will cross where they wish. Although adorable companions, it is hard to remember the last time that the news reported an animal talking, thinking or providing significant input for the benefit of society. Yet, these signs cost taxpayers like so much of government.

How would you like that Mensa Member as your neighbor? Can you say six and one half foot fence? “Oh, Billy! Billy! Have you heard?!” Sound of car wheels screaming away…..
