re: #3 dragonfire1981

Perhaps we should all wear some kind of device on our heads before reading this tripe so re-assembling our craniums would be easier! People like her have tin foil we need something to protect our brains too!..Oh Wait..WE have the FACTS..never mind…

“When a physician removes a child from a woman, that is the largest organ in a body,” McClurkin told the Montgomery Advertiser on Thursday.

Are all Republican legislators insane now?

Better question: are any Republicans legislators sane?

Mary Sue can proudly proclaim that her brain is the smallest organ in her body.

10 antpogo  Tue, Feb 19, 2013 11:18:34am

Ugh.

This woman fortunately isn’t my representative, but instead from the district right next door to the one I live in.

Still one of the reasons I often feel deeply ashamed for the place where I live.

On the other hand, if a fetus is an organ, an abortion is morally the same as an appendectomy, right? An organ is part and parcel of one’s body and not a separate thing that someone else controls.

13 b_sharp  Tue, Feb 19, 2013 2:25:19pm

We discard malfunctioning organs all the time. Is this what she really wants to say?

14 Romantic Heretic  Tue, Feb 19, 2013 5:41:09pm

Every time I think the GOP has reached bottom, they go even deeper into batshit stupidity.

I’m hoping that their minds go so far from reality that their bodies go with it. Something like in Childhood’s End, but with the idiots rather than the geniuses.

15 PhillyPretzel  Tue, Feb 19, 2013 5:41:58pm

Did these people take any science courses?

Oh I am sorry they did not take science because it interferes with religion.

16 docproto48  Tue, Feb 19, 2013 6:24:11pm

Sorry science genius: Even if your baby counted as “an”organ as even at full term size the skin remains the largest………………….

17 moderatelyradicalliberal  Tue, Feb 19, 2013 6:32:38pm

Not only is this a stupid argument it undermines the whole anti-choice rationale. If a fetus is an organ, it has no more of a “right to life” then a kidney or liver. Organs certainly aren’t people.

18 Robur  Wed, Feb 20, 2013 11:07:31am

Abortion may stop a beating heart but Religion stops a thinking brain…

re: #17 moderatelyradicalliberal

Organs certainly not people..Precisely yet we have people who act like male sex organs…

When Laura Gambrel, 22, of Zionsville, Ind., graduated from Indiana University in May, she wanted to keep the celebration pretty low key. A trio of University of Toronto scholars, led by psychologist Maja Djikic, report that people who have just read a short ...
