I work with a woman from Maine. She said that probably over 99% of the cars and trucks on the road have guns inside. Everybody hunts up there. Imagine lots of stoned weaponized Maine rednecks traveling around up there.

1.) Just because it isn’t legal doesn’t mean nobody smokes pot now.

2.) I’d rather have ‘em stoned and armed than drunk and armed.

Maine has 40% gun ownership, and I doubt most of them are irresponsible enough to drive around with guns when they’re not actually going to be using them.

I live in Maine, and I can assure you she’s exaggerating. As for the rednecks, well, they’re already stoned on one thing or another anyhow.

I’d rather have ‘em neither stoned or drunk and armed.

Just sayin.

Yep. Maine is very much a hunters’ state.

I also read where something like 73% of gun owners up here were in favor of restrictions (if that was indeed the number I remember and not just a random brain fart, there’s that 27% again), which strikes me as being healthy.

Maybe it’s the weed that keeps people from shooting each other up here. :-)

I’d rather have ‘em neither armed nor drunk, and stoned. :)
