If a broken watch is running at triple the normal speed, it’s right approximately six times a day, assuming it’s not a digital watch set as a 24 hour timekeeper.

My phone is not smart. It does tell time more accurately than my watch, but it’s not accessed as easily.

Besides, the whole thing is a metaphor. And can’t you recognize a backhanded defense when you see it?
