At what point does such a low level of empathy make one a sociopath? I genuinely would like to know.

On some level, I think this is a genetic thing. Perhaps mother nature is doing something to drive less population. There is a missing gene for empathy and compassion in many people. You see and hear it every day.

Perhaps the gene that is missing is the one that connects people to policy. Cutting Social Security and Medicare (Entitlements!) impacts the elderly. WIC affects children. “Jobs” isn’t just a number, it is a number of families and their ability to eat and have a roof over their heads.

Empathy is the ability to put oneself in another’s shoes. What’s even weirder is that many are already in those shoes, they just don’t realize it.

I don’t know id sociopathy is genetic or learned behavior. We just don’t know. I have read some papers that stated that maybe the evolutional reason for sociopathy continuing in a species like ours which is very sociable is because it allows for sociopaths to attain leadership positions. Like that saying from a general, where if he kills one person he is a murderer but if he kills thousands he is a great general.

I am going off on a tangent. Sorry, too much weed last night.
