Cosby values education. People use that in his favor, or against, as they will.

The only use the conservative movement has for black people is to fuss at other black people. Once you show that you can fuss at black people and still have an understanding of how racism and white supremacy still adversely effects black people, there is no longer a use for you.

They just want black useful idiots. Some of their black useful idiots are real (Clarence Thomas) and others are just running a scam and getting paid like everyone else in movement conservatism (Herman Cain). Bill Cosby was never either. He was never saying things to impress white conservatives. They may have heard his words, but his words weren’t for them to like or dislike. He’s is a proud black man who loves black people, he was never trying to be a proxy for white conservative frustrations with or disdain for black people. Funny, how they never understand that.

Cosby, like Herman Cain, Ken Blackburn, Larry Elder, Allen West, and other black males are alright with these folks as long as they stay in their “place.” They’re not allowed to have, and give voice, to their opinions on certain issues, and the touchiest one they can expound on is race/racism. AG Holder was right when he said that when it comes to the issues of race and racism, most Americans are cowards. Many on the right want to forget the role that race/racism played, and still plays, in how certain Americans were/are treated. They have no experience that would allow them to see that racism is still alive and well in America. I’ve been followed around by security personnel and clerks in upscale stores, but I can’t imagine that this has ever happened to any of these folks. It seems as if they think that if they aren’t the targets of racism, it doesn’t exist, and that those of us who dare speak about our experience with it are the vilest liars known to man.

re: #3 moderatelyradicalliberal

This is about as clear a distillation of the right’s attitudes towards minorities as you will get. Bravo.
