Nice looking set up you have there, lots of room. I would have love to have seen the gold come out of the bath, but then I like bright shiny things.

Not acetylene. It’s hydrogen oxygen. The carbon in acetylene can be an issue. If the flame was fuel rich for example. With hydrogen we can stay fuel rich, that is to say oxygen starved, minimizing oxygen getting into the alloy.
