Exra Klein’s Very Specific Apology for Iraq War Cheerleading

Would be nice if you spelled Ezra’s name right.

Who says she didn’t get the sarcasm? WW is pretty savvy; I think she got it just fine.

Should you be downdinged for assuming facts not in evidence?

Ted Rall is a horse’s ass. Ezra Klein should tell him to fade back into the woodwork.

I opposed the invasion of Iraq because I had done quite a bit of research on the claims that Bush & Co. made at the time, and I found them to be false. Too many Americans, including Ezra Klein, took Bush & Co.’s word as fact, a dangerous thing to do when a nation is pondering whether or not to go to war. I never trusted Bush and his associates. The first time I saw him campaigning and listened to one of his speeches, I thought he wasn’t as sincere as he should have been, wouldn’t be the least bit interested in doing something for the majority of us, and wanted to be POTUS for the perks and the prestige. I never hated him, never said anything bad about him, I just didn’t think he’d make a good president. Sadly, I was right. When he was asked what he liked most about being president, he said he liked the perks most of all. I felt the same way about Reagan when he ran for president, and I was right about him, too. Trickle-down economics, killing the unions, waging two wars using supplemental budgets, and deregulation harmed America’s middle class and made the poor poorer.

Ted Rall made some pretty nasty anti-military cartoons. I didn’t like how he’d focus his bile on enlisted people. What’s he say in the comments about Ezra?

Sorry, Ezra. Keep your apology. On behalf of two million dead Iraqis, I refuse to accept it.

Man, that sounds familiar…..

Some guy in the comments was wigging out about teh JUICE. Same old, same old. One might grant that many of this bunch was right about the Iraq war but many are still the same old far-left moonbats.

In war, like in capital punishment, we had better hear some damn good reasons for going ahead. You can’t just Ctrl-Z an airstrike.
