An Indiana House committee is set to consider a proposal that would require clinics offering the abortion pill to perform ultrasounds on women seeking the drugs.
The proposal approved by the state Senate last month would also force clinics that provide only drug-induced abortions to meet the same facility requirements as clinics that perform surgical abortions. Planned Parenthood says that could force it to stop providing the abortion pill at its Lafayette clinic.
