There has been a continual cycle of violence and attacks on providers for many years now. In each case the religious right makes token statements like “We don’t support any act of violence, and this person isn’t representative of our beliefs”. In other words, they fall back on the ever popular “No True Scotsman” argument.

At the same time, people like O’Reily demonize someone like Dr. Tiller by constantly referring to him as “Tiller the Killer”, and when Tiller was murdered, the sanctimonious pig maintained “I didn’t do anything that caused it”.

These people deny that they have a problem, that they aren’t the ones breaking laws, violating rights, committing felonies. When your rhetoric and extremism drives others to act on it, you have a problem.

Your religious rights end where my personal and legal rights begin.

Yesterday I got into a Twitfight with a wingnut who kept Tweeting “Abortion is the Leading Cause of Death in the USA!!11!!” I pointed out that Heart Disease & cancer are actually the leading causes of death according to the CDC.

I said so where do you get your statistics from?

Wingnut named some anti-abortion sites.

I said OK where do they get their statistics from?

I said I went to CDC & PP and did not find any statistics.

Wingnut said Look it up on Google.

I said I’m not doing your homework, where are you statistics from?

Wingnuts seething that there is not enough “media coverage” of the Gosnell trial. Maybe there should be more coverage: let people know that if wingnuts have their way there will be MOAR GOSNELLS.

Clearly the ax wielding maniac was a liberal plant.

I have more respect for people like this than the phonies who claim to believe that abortion is murder and do nothing about it. This guy is genuinely bonkers, rather than just wanting to control women like the typical “pro-lifer.”
