How much would such a bomb weigh? If you look at the man on the left, it seems that his bag is pretty light. He’s holding the bag in one hand, and his hand is not even fully extended as it would be if the bag were heavy.

Too many innocent people are getting caught up in the crowd-sourcing thing. See my comment here as well as this Page regarding the same guy (an American high school kid of Moroccan descent).

I knew this photo of the two “possible suspects” in khaki were going to come up as I saw the image the other day, so I saved a link to a photo showing that it can’t be them because there’s a photo of them post-blast on the scene with their backpacks intact. That fact gets noted almost nowhere.

It can be verified by downloading the full-size original version provided by the photographer, hahatango, on Flickr. Let’s take a look:

1.) Here’s the default image from Flickr showing the full post-explosion scene. I’ve circled the “khaki pants guys” in bright green.

2.) Here are the same guys, taken from the full- size version of the photo at 100% magnification, with everything else cropped out. It’s them.

Still not sure?

3.) Same guys, same full-size photo, this time at 300% magnification. No, you can’t see their faces, but if you’ve looked at the numerous other shots of them where their faces aren’t blurred out, there’s little doubt it’s them.

Law Enforcement officials have said around 20 lbs.

Daniel: FYI, I do realize that the PetaPixel article is critical of the crowd-sourcing, however the excerpt you pulled from it doesn’t indicate that and there are people who won’t bother reading the full original source, hence my detailed comment.

Indeed, you are correct. But isn’t the Moroccan-American kid a different person from the two pictured above?

Yes, he’s a different guy (with a blue bag, which basically rules him out also).

I’m putting this up to point out that crowd sourcing is happening, good, bad or indifferent. It’s also a precedent we can count on-all those cameras in phones at every public event. As a photographer i can just watch and learn how the public and law enforcement will come together.

Those two guys are security…likely off-duty military or on-duty military and were dressing in civilian-like clothing. Top Photo: Guy on the left has credentials hanging around his neck. The hat has a SEAL Team logo.

In conclusion…..BFD. Nothing to see.
