re: #1 Destro

I don’t want my hard working New York socialist money going to help moochers.

I agree. Why can’t they just shut down the schools to pay for it?

The people affected should be helped and Rick Perry should be neck fucked with a rusty hanger. If I offended anyone I apologize just as sincerely as Rick Perry (screw him in the neck with a rusty hanger) would.

“I urge all Texans and Americans to join me in keeping the people of West and our first responders in your prayers as this situation continues to unfold.”

Ah. the usual sotto voce implication that Texans are both separate from and better than mere Americans.

And if anyone tries to remind the GOP what jerks they were over disaster funding just recently, they’ll scream how inappropriate it is to rub their noses in it.

They are Americans. They are in desperate need. The fact that they have a far right government, and claim some sort of secessionist leanings is their problem! They still need help and I think they should get that help.

This disaster occurred because of the actions of a private firm and because of lax enforcement of safety laws by the state of Texas. This should be the responsibility of the company, its shareholders, Texas, and insurance companies. Funds from the evil federal gub’mint should go only towards helping private citizens get back on their feet until such time as they can sue the fuck out of the company that caused this devastation.

THE VERY BIG STUPID is a thing which breeds by eating The Future. Have you seen it? It sometimes disguises itself as a good-looking quarterly bottom line, derived by closing the R&D Department. -- from The Real Frank Zappa book.
