Than you SO MUCH for putting this up - I’m going to be disseminating it, myself, now.

But Tamerlan was the real Muslim.

Tsarni, a Maryland resident who is the brother of the suspects’ father, believes Tamerlan, 26, who died in a confrontation with police early Friday morning, was radicalized by others. He noted that the suspects were in his house as children, and recalled a surprising transformation the last time he saw Tamerlan in 2009.

“There certainly were mentors,” Tsarni said. “I was shocked when I heard his words, his phrases, when every other word he starts sticking in words of God. I question what he’s doing for work, (and) he claimed he would just put everything in the will of God. It was a big concern to me. He called me ‘confused’ when I started explaining to him, make yourself useful to yourself and to your family and maybe you’ll have extra to share with everybody else.

“It wasn’t devotion, it was something, as it’s called, being radicalized. Not understanding what he is talking (about). He is just using words for the sake of the words and not understanding the meaning of it.”

According to the FBI, Tsarni, the Maryland resident who is the brother of the suspects’ father didn’t come forward to identify the suspects when he saw them on his computer and TV screen.

I wonder if Muhammad, and the others who were regulars at the Cambridge, Mass. mosque prayer service came forward and called the FBI TIP line to identify the suspects when they saw them on their computer and TV screen.

Do you have a link to the FBI site where they list the names of the people who didn’t come forward when they saw the suspects pictures on tv?

Does Buck have a list of those who did come forward?

No, just his own pre-determinations.

The FBI named everyone who DIDN’T come forward? I doubt that they even list the people who DID come forward.

Privacy and all that shit.

I know the aunt (the father’s sister) did.

Here’s a case where a Muslim-American community did the right thing and distanced themselves from a radical loudmouth. How much credit do you think they’ll they get for this from the anti-Muslim confraternity?
BTW nice point-miss there, Buck.

Actually the FBI was asked if any of their relative had come forward to identify them and the answer was no.

Even when the MIT officer was shot dead the FBI still didn’t know the names of the men. So it is logical that a lot of people who knew their names didn’t come forward.

My point is that distancing yourself AFTER the fact is a day late.

More from the Boston Globe:

Yusufi Vali, executive director of the Islamic Society of Boston, which runs the mosque, said Tsarnaev told the speaker, “You are a kafir [an unbeliever],” and said he was contaminating people’s minds and was a hypocrite.

Vali said, “The congregation then said, ‘You are the hypocrite.’ The congregation shouted him out of the mosque.”

Shouted him out of the mosque. Of course it still won’t be enough for some people.

Still, Tamerlan returned to Friday prayer services

And shut himself up and didn’t caused further problems.

What, you report to the FBI, the CIA and the DHS all your Christian friends after one outburst that may be caused by high stress?

Like I said, not enough. Should they have had his photo at the door and some bouncers? Reported him to the FBI for a verbal outburst? Shot him on the spot? And if they shot him on the spot, should they have shot him on the spot EVEN EARLIER?

Or is letting a guy who had a verbal outburst back into your place of worship, kind of, ya know, the American thing to do?

THIS. You’d think no one had ever before been kicked out of a church, mosque, synagogue, temple, or whatever for bad behavior.

Hell, back in Atlantic City there was a guy who had an outburst and was literally bounced out the door and down the steps of a mosque, his shoes tossed after him.

Being an obnoxious douchebag isn’t a crime.

Yes, Buck, it’s called ‘contrition and forgiveness’. You might try learning about it.

If I heard someone do that, I would be calling the FBI. To be doing the Takfiri stuff is a Red Flag like no other.

A red flag for what, exactly?

Have you ever actually contacted the FBI to report something? I have—more than once. They don’t investigate people simply for being intolerant assholes, there has to be a specific, credible threat.

In a vague sense, it is a red flag. It is then on who files the report to prove that this is a legitimate red flag that should be investigated. Just keep the eyes open for something tangible that may indicate further problems.
