These people need first to be sterilized , then charged with Manslaughter 1 .

The way I read the article, it seems that they still some more children left to kill.

I’m sure this couple believes abortion is murder.

Earth to faith healers: you have a right to let yourself die, but not your children. The day an amputated limb is fully and miraculously restored through prayer I will be happy to reevaluate my position.

If the charges are true, these people are child abusers and need to be sent to prison. If they had other children in 2009, their parental rights should’ve been permanently terminated.

They only got probation for the first child’s death? WTF?

Agreed. Religious freedom shouldn’t include letting your kids die. You want to refuse medical treatment yourself? Fine. You want to refuse it for you kids and put their lives in danger? NO.

Sorry, I was out at the driving range. Shit.

Wish Prayers in one hand, shit in the other. See which one fills up first.”

Unless they’re trying to score points with how many of their litter actually survive, I’d consider them serial killers after 2 deaths. Useless, stupid, fundamentalist, fucks.

And if it could be proved that some evil preacher told them not to get medical help for their child, that asshole should go to prison as well.

I’ll be honest, faith healers bother me more than abusive parents (not much more, but more. I hope there is a Hell just for people that hurt their kids).

Abusive/neglectful parents are at least consistent in their horribleness. But faith healers? They say they love their kids, but can just sit there and watch them die? My goodness, I’m agnostic, but I sure have thanked God for the wonders of antibiotics after pacing the floor half the night with a little one with an ear infection. How can you see your baby in pain (and I had my first ever ear infection recently, and those hurt like the dickens!) and just do nothing? How do you not try every option available to help your child? What kind of parent refuses to help their child?? Isn’t that pretty much rule number one of parenthood?

I can only hope the memory of their dying child gasping for breath and burning with fever and shriveling up with dehydration haunts them for the rest of their lives. A long jail sentence for manslaughter wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

re: #11 sizzzzlerz

I’m guessing they view it as “God’s will” (a.k.a. not their fault) since this is the second time they’ve done this.

Lets hope the legal system takes a small step in the right direction —- e.g., parents who let one child die via faith healing lose custody of all current and future children.

It is truly troubling that this pathetic remedy is all that seems available by making changes to the legal system.

Outlawing attempts at faith healing is simply not going to work.

This is a tragic example of what belief in the fatuous dogma of sky fairies can effect!

This is a bad place to get Christian Mingle ads.

Well, God gave them a new child after they killed the first one, so after the accounts were settled they still had eight left, but shoot! They done went and killed that one too.
