I won’t stand for someone mocking the tragic deaths of my fellow Texans and our fellow Americans.

Nice try, Rick. But transparently false indignation.

What he really means is “I won’t stand for someone mocking my campaign contributors and our complete lack of safety regulations here in Texas”.

Texas Explosion Illuminates The Glaring Hypocrisy Of Rick Perry And Ted Cruz

Since 2009, Texas has far more Federal Emergency Management Agency-declared disasters – 75 — than any other state. This nearly constant need for federal intervention belies Governor Perry’s nearly constant bellicose rhetoric attacking big government.

As I’ve noted before, comedy is the least controllable form of language and so the one most dangerous to those with power.

How dare they mock lack of oversight and outright lies that lead to death? Apparently Rick doesn’t like editorial cartoons along with oversight, regulations, and dangerous combinations of explosives and populace.

Apologize for what telling the truth.

This is such a typical right wing tactic - to try to invert the meaning of the criticism, and demonize the critic by suggesting he was “mocking the victims,” when anyone with a brain can see that the target was people like Rick Perry and their heartless social agenda.

This kind of bullshit gets so old. They do it every time, and they have to know they’re being dishonest.

“…although bullshit can take many innocent forms, excessive indulgence in it can eventually undermine the practitioner’s capacity to tell the truth in a way that lying does not. Liars at least acknowledge that it matters what is true. By virtue of this, Frankfurt writes, bullshit is a greater enemy of the truth than lies are.”

As a Texan, I’d like to take this opportunity to tell Perry to go fuck himself.

Would do it in verse, but having a hard time rhyming ‘apoplogize’ and ‘bag of dicks’.

Stick a corndog in it Perry.

He is more upset with a cartoonist than he is with the owner of the factory.

Of course he is; the business owner is just doing Texas style bidness. As my own asshole Senator, Rand Paul, said, fatalities like these shouldn’t be investigated to try to lay blame on anyone; sometimes accidents just happen.

As a former Texan, I’d like to second that. He’s real Texas trash; indeed, he’s essentially a Dixiecrat who changed parties.

I’m sure Perry is familiar with an old saying we have in some parts of the South, “A hurt dog will holler.” Perry is hollering because the cartoon is 100% true, carries a powerful punch, inflicts a political wound, and he knows it. He’s “hurt” by the accuracy of Ohman’s cartoon. He knows it is an on the nose portrayal of who/what he is and what he believes to his core—no stinking regulations are needed, just let corporations do whatever they need/have to do to make a profit, even if lives are lost and property is damaged.

I demand that Texans apologize for electing this douchebag over and over and over (this is his 14th year in office; he’s served longer than any living governor, longer than FDR was Prez for that matter.)

Cuts to the quick, don’t it, Guvner Perry?

Eat shit.

Yep, looks like the cartoonist hit a sore spot. It’s crystal clear that Perry’s the one being mocked.
