Republicans do the same things that democrats do, like using Teleprompters and having someone hold an umbrella for them, but it’s only an outrage when democrats do them. This is why I don’t like republicans—they have separate standards based on stupid BS. Although Bush led us into an unnecessary war that killed and maimed multiple thousands, republicans still think Benghazi is worse than invading Iraq. Many republicans claim certain values and beliefs but don’t show that they really believe in them. It’s all talk without substance.

If the most blatant public flaunting of power Americans can imagine involves having a Marine hold a plain black umbrella over you when it rains, the Republic is probably in pretty good shape.

Having military personnel hold the umbrella for the President is hardly unprecedented, yet somehow it’s different when Obama does (fill in the blank) … and the rationale is a matter of some complexion.
