Cuccinelli is just as kooky as Jackson is and I find it amusing that the establishment is ignoring that. I also take issue with Bolling being described as a moderate Republican. Bolling’s not a moderate. He’s a conservative. He just happens to live in reality which differentiates him from Jackson and Cuccinneli both.

“I’m a Christian. It’s not because I hate anybody. But because I have religious values that matter to me. So attacking me because I adhere to those principles is attacking every churchgoing person, every family that’s living a traditional family life, everybody that believes we all deserve to live,” he said. “I don’t have anything to rephrase or apologize for. People should not paint me as one dimensional.”

Are Sarah Palin’s writers now working for this guy?

No kidding, it’s the old “If you criticize me” you’re criticizing everyone like me. Seriously Jackson is completely nuts, he ran against George Allen because in his mind Allen was insufficiently conservative.

I think VA republicans selected E.W. Jackson because they think he’ll bring the minority votes. He won’t. Republicans seem to think that we blacks vote for black pols because they’re black. We don’t. When Sharpton and Jackson, Sr. ran for POTUS, I did not vote for them in my state’s primary, and neither did other blacks I know. VA Republicans seem to be thinking that E. W. Jackson is an Obama substitute. He isn’t and could never be. If Cuccinelli and other republicans are running away from Jackson at this point, it says a whole lot about Jackson’s potential to garner votes for him in the General Election, even from some republicans. What some republicans never seem to realize is that we know blacks like Jackson well and will reject them as being unsuitable for occupying a public office before the republicans do. There are probably blacks in VA laughing at Jackson all over the place-in barber/beauty shops, in workplaces, on job sites, in churches, in social gatherings, etc., but of course, the republican movers and shakers are unaware of this and Jackson is ignoring that it is happening.

So Virginians get to choose either Ken Cuccinelli or Terry McAuliffe for Governor? You have my sympathies.

Yeah I’m not voting. I know that may sound selfish but Terry’s just an awful candidate. And that was before the whole story about him not being there for his child being born thing came out. If it were someone like Kaine or Warner both presently serving in the Senate, I’d not only vote for them but probably work for their campaigns.
