He’s a real pos. It’s not just climate change supporters he’s used the AG’s office to harass but also people who think GLBT people should be treated with equality too. I love how the Virginia GOP is “distancing” itself from Cuccinneli’s running mate, Reverend Jackson as if Cuccinelli isn’t batshit insane himself.

South Carolina voters were “distancing” themselves from Mark Sanford, too, until they elected him.

Being a serial adulterer or batshit insane are requirements if you want support from the GOP base these days.

Yeah well I like to think that my state’s voters are more sane than South Carolina’s. The GOP base here though does love Cuccinelli. He’s a real hit with the base because his so-con bullshit is genuine. Think of him as like Santorum but without the sympathetic part of having lost a child due to miscarriage and having another who has a terrible disease.

Yeah, but who’s that guy he’s running against? Terry something?

Too bad the Dems couldn’t have come up with someone less toxic.

Yep, and that unfortunately is why Cuccinelli has a chance. I don’t like Terry at all. His whole schtick seems to be “I’m Bill Clinton’s bud and you should like me.” Plus the stories about his actions during his wife’s giving labor are just perfect ammo for a “family values” asswipes like Cooch and his running mate. This would be better if Virginia actually allowed its governors to serve more than one term though. Now on the bright side, it also means that Cuccinelli will only be able to do so much damage if he’s actually elected but I still hate that law.
