If establishment Republicans wanted the tea party suppressed, and Michele Bachmann neutered the tea party caucus, does this mean that Bachmann was a double agent who was working for the establishment?

It would be irresponsible not to speculate.

In a way, he’s right. Michele, along with the 10 or 15 other members of the GOP insane clown posse, otherwise known as presidential candidates, were so stupid, so batshit insane, so utterly ridiculous so as to make a weak Obama look positively Jeffersonian making any sentient being positively giddy about voting for him rather than the guy who actually got the nomination. What was his name? Bitch? Witch? Doesn’t really matter.

Was it a conspiracy? No. She is simply not bright enough to carry it out. But I love the fact that its a topic of discussion amongst the teabagger cognesciti.

another conspiracy theory from blogger Ann Althouse, —Obamas prime target was the Tea Party (which had crushed him in the 2010 midterms), and the establishment Republicans were at odds with the Tea Party movement. Im not saying I believe this, but sober reflection tells us we need to redraw the line between paranoia and vigilance. The theory is that establishment Republicans appreciated the suppression of the Tea Party.

So, let me see if I understand this correctly. The teabag party “crushed” PBO in 2010 without tax-exempt status, then PBO “suppressed” the teabag party in 2012 by continuing to delay their tax-exempt status, which they didn’t have in 2010 either when they totally crushed him.

Yeah, some “sober reflection” would indicate this is batshit insane. Please procede, GOP.

Just the giggle I needed this morning.

Like all revolutionaries the Teahadis are so hung up on ideological purity, and lust for power, that the slightest deviation from the norm and thus barrier to power causes their heads to explode.

It won’t be long before they start using their Second Amendment solutions on each other.

I think (hope?) that we are going to see more and more of this. The right turning on itself as they vie for “purest of the pure” status. This also seems to fit the latest trend of just bat-shyte insane theories that have been put out lately, as individuals try to establish their position as the most conservative by presenting wilder and wilder conjecture as established fact. I’d LIKE to think that when the next couple of election cycles come up, all these things will be effective fodder against them, it won’t change the minds of the “true believers”, but should be effective in helping the marginal supporters, center-field voters and thinking conservatives (of which there are some) decide that the RWNJs are just over the top and un-supportable.

That’s my hope at least.
