The Black Forest Fire
It has been nearly a year since the devastating Waldo Canyon Fire intruded into Colorado Springs, causing $350 million in damage, making it the costliest fire in Colorado History, which is impressive for a fire the burned just 18,247 acres (High Park Fire at the same time burned 87,250 acres, and the infamous Hayman Fire burned 138,118 acres).
Today, we are at it again. Black Forest, an unincorporated suburb of Colorado Springs, has started on fire, claiming a number of structures.
