I didn’t know that Palin was a Arnaud Amalric aficionado

I will never forgive John McCain for foisting Princess Dumbass of the Northwoods on the rest of us.

America dodged one hell of a bullet the day that McCain lost the election.

Well, at least she put the hatred of Obama out in the open. No ‘Palin word salad’ in that sentence; She actually said what she meant and felt. And my opinion of her has never been lower.

Or as one of the comments at the source put it, “non-human Muslims killing each other”.

Palin knows as much about what is happening in Syria as my little chihuahua. Her main point in saying we shouldn’t intervene in Syria at this time was to undermine President Obama’s foreign policy, something she knows nothing about. Whoever wrote her speech added that little part in so that she could attack the president again. If she were asked who was president of Syria, who the opposing groups are that are fighting, or who Hezbollah is, she wouldn’t know. It always amuses me to hear Palin try to speak from a position of authority about things she knows nothing about. If what was reported about her from the McCain campaign is true, she didn’t know that although Africa is a continent, it is composed of over 50 independent nations or who the major opponents in WWII were.

It might have been his last real public service. If she had been allowed to mature through Alaska politics from Governor through Senator, she might have become really dangerous. Now she sits with Fox, blogging at the moon.

Until we have a commander in chief who knows what he is doing

You mean like - I don’t know - a CIC who oversaw the killing of bin Laden and then help overthrow Gaddafi without the loss of a single American serviceman? As opposed to stumbling into Iraq unprepared like some druken frat-boy at a Tijuana brothel?

I wonder why we didn’t let Allah sort it out in Iraq?

She didn’t know why North and South Korea are separate countries. She thought the Queen of England is the Head of Government.

My favorite scene in “Game Change” is when the campaign brings in some foreign policy advisers to work with her.

FP Advisor: Okay, I thought we’d start with Russian monetary policy and from there lead into—
Campaign Strategist: Um… you’re going to have to start with something a little more basic.
FP Adviser: How basic are we talking?

cut to:

Palin and FP Advisor at table with map, he’s pointing to things and she’s scribbling on little note cards:

FPA: In World War II, we were allied with England and the Soviet Union. Our primary antagonists were Germany and Japan…

That’s how I read it. Tailor made for his xenophobic support base. And I’d like to see Sarah and McCain have done better in foreign policy than Biden and Obama have. Given McCain’s extreme hawkishness combined with Sarah’s ability to alienate anyone who’s not a conservative, I am sure foreign relations would have been a real hoot in a McCain-Palin admin. I too can’t forgive McCain for choosing her.
