Only 694 examples of attempting to legislate religion into government? I’d think the count would be higher. No matter, as a man I simply do not get the fear that some seem to have about women. It’s like seeing the Christian Taliban in the GOP. To use their slippery slope arguments back in their face, I wonder what is next. Outlaw shoes for women and require them to be shackled in the kitchen? So much for free choice as a benchmark for conservatives. In reality it is their choice and their religious views being legislated into law. A$$hats.

I hate to say it, but isn’t this why all those religious nutters were put on a ship and sent over here in the first place? We’ve run out of places for them to go where they can practice “religious freedom” and they refuse to coexist.

More moral derpitude from limited-government authoritarians.

But God commanded this!

Really? It’s been a long time since I read the Bible, but I don’t remember any passages on cognitive embryology.

I just looked at the best statistical number regarding abortions, including ratios, that I could find and the truth is the issue is apparently not revolving around increases in abortions brought on by a moral demise as these poor misguided people are led to believe. Just the opposite. The stats on abortions show a continual decrease over the years after available data showed a max during the 70s.

One could argue, in spite of Roe v Wade and the availability of choice, religious influence from inside churches had an impact. The morality argument had an effect. Certainly that has been going on since that time.

Lacking a “problem” to solve, this is certainly about finding back-door ways to end a woman’s ability to have a choice, further reinforcing my opinion that this is nothing more than attempts to legislate religion into law.
