Phyllis Schlafly: Latino’s won’t vote Republican because they have too many illegitimate kids
It’s hard to tell which conservative is the most batshit crazy but lately Phyllis Schlafly has made great strides in becoming the Lebron James of that honor. Recently she claimed - falsely…very falsely…that the reason Mitt Romney lost last year was because of a drop off in white voters, and that the Republican Party should forget about reaching out to Latinos and instead reach even further out to white voters. She also speculated that today’s immigrants are less patriotic than the Irish, Italian, and Jewish immigrants of the early 20th century.
But now she may have topped all of that with this doozy:
I don’t think they (Latinos) have Republican inclinations at all. They’re running an illegitimacy rate that’s just about the same as the blacks are, and the plain fact is they come from a country where they have no experience with limited government and the types of rights we have in the Bill of Rights…you can’t even talk to them about what the Republican principle is.
