Now what kind of money would the Vatican Bank be laundering? Drug money? Prostitution money? Terrorist organization money? We already know they’re happy to work tax scams.

Just what Jesus had in mind, I’m thinking.

Didn’t Jesus chase the moneylenders out of the Temple?

The Vatican has welcomed them back.

They’ll launder anyone’s money - as long as they get a decent cut. And as long as the prelate/broker gets a decent cut.
It’s been a service provided to anyone who asks ever since Mussolini did the separate nation-state deal with them. It’s made a lot of Vatican leaders and bankers extremely wealthy.
I can imagine a number of plots to kill the new pope are being considered right now - he really is threatening the corrupt welfare programs of a lot of the world’s fascists. Because apart from corruption, the only other thing that the majority of those who use Vatican laundry services share, is a certain political ideology.

It is this kind of mess, along with the molestations, that make me wonder why anyone still listens to the Catholic Church when members like Timothy Dolan try to interfere in the operation of our government. Corrupt individuals and organizations have no right trying to impose their will on others. IMO, the pope and other high level church officials should step down and let the nuns run things instead of trying to impose their nonsensical rules on them.

For Jesus sayeth unto Mark, “Tell Vinnie ‘The Nose’ to bringeth his purse to me, and yea, I shall make it clean by funneling it through Moshe’s Bar and Grill.” Thus spaketh the Lord. - The Gospel According to Joey ‘Torpedo’ Panozzo, 6: 24-25
