Oy, I can already hear the RWNJs spewing venom about a VP named “Kamala”.

That would be soooo awesome! They can never hide what they’re about.

Kamala is a Hindu name by the way.

Can you imagine all of the Fox News fuckups as they can’t help spill how much they hate having a VP candidate with a Hindu name, or how women aren’t reliable.

With luck the Republicans will end up as successful with women and asians as they now are with blacks.

I think that it would truely spell the end of the current deformed version of the Republican Party.

It would usher in at least 16 years of Democratic Presidents (2, 4 year terms for Hillary and samne for Kamala) and as you guys described above, the Republicans would just sit and stew in their juices as their culture and demographic base dies off.

Then, just then, can we return to a politics with 2 serious political parties. But that’s along time to wait - 20 + years.

Can Bill Clinton run as her VP?

re: #4 Heywood Jabloeme

Would not happen. That ticket could get two terms at most. After that the Dems would be run down and fractious enough and Republicans desperate enough to flip the White House.

But don’t take what Silver’s saying too seriously yet. He’s talking about an election more than 3 years away, and its just too soon to know what will happen between now and then.

I take what he’s saying very seriously. But he’s only saying she’s got really strong numbers, especially for a non-incumbent.

He’s not making any predictions.

The way the GOP is relentlessly pursuing its war on women, I think Hillary really could approach 90% of the single female vote. Republicans, recognizing that the Tea Party in the House will kill immigration reform, are theorizing how to win by getting even whiter since they have no choice at this point but to write off every ethnic group that doesn’t need SPF 50 sunscreen. I think they are blowing smoke up their asses; the Clintons are very popular with the rust belt whites that the GOP would have to win by significant margins to have any hope of pulling off the upset. About the only thing that could stop Hillary would be another economic collapse.
