Also, if Palin continues to poll too poorly to get elected or be a power broker in Alaska or in any other state she might move to, she will have to keep her message shtick national to attract a critical mass of supportive patriots suckers to underwrite her crusade lifestyle.

RealityBasedSteverss,

All she’s going to do is make it harder for Republicans to win, come next election. The real reason, the biggest reason anyway that the GOP is not doing the things that people like her want is because their veiws are moving further and further away from the mainstream, not because they’re beliefs are changing, but because the country as a whole is changing and they can’t stop it. I predict that very few Republicans, including conservative Republicans will switch parties and most likely almost none of them that have held political office, except for Palin herself. Most of them will see the writing on the wall, and realize that they’re going to have to compromise in many cases, even when they really don’t want to hold onto power. For that reason, even if she creates this new party, I doubt it will have as much of an effect as you might hope it will have for that reason.
