Will Microsoft ever stop shooting themselves in the foot?

Based on recent history, I expect gamer outrage and that Microsoft will back down.

I’m no fan of Sony, but I now expect to get a PS4 long before I get an Xbox One. If not for all the severe missteps, I would have bought an Xbox One near release date and a PS4 much later, as I did in the previous generation.

I think I’ll just stick with my 360. I have no desire to talk to my game console, I just want to power it on and play games.

The new XBox: “Hey you, fapping on the couch. Yes you. Have you considered the gentle softness of Kleenex tissue with soothing aloe?”

Wow! Microsoft really let the cat out of the bag.

/so frigging sarc

This is why I have no intention of buying X1. To hell with “losing my trust” over drm or constant internet connection. They lost mine way sooner than that when they announced an always on Kinect as mandatory with X1.

Seriously, who didn’t guess Microsoft was going to use this for direct marketing? I mean, an always on Kinect surveying the user? Not using that to abuse the customer for an extra buck would’ve been a huge surprise.
