You know who also voted for the bill? Rep. Steve Chabot, 1st District Ohio, my congressman. Steve also voted for every extension of the Patriot Act and, mysteriously, voted against every attempt to amend FISA to require more review and regulation. Maybe Steve’s an Accidental Libertarian.

Or maybe he’s just a blubbering idiot.

I don’t understand you point? It seems like youa are presenting facts that support the claim that your Congressman is Pro Domestic Spying. I just looked him up and he is a member of the “Republican Study Committee.” and has other dinstinctions in his career as when he “served as one of 12 managers in the Senate Impeachment trial for President Bill Clinton.Chabot.”

littlegreenfootballs.com

So, I don;t know what you mean by “Accidental Conservative” but he is very much in the mainstream and the Racist, Reactionary Wing of the current GOP.

Glad that you seem to be proud of him for this vote. How are you on his overall record?

But that mu point right? You LGF’ers are helariously hypocritical on this issue - you try and cast those who are against the Fed Govt Domestic Spying in a negative light when they normally support issues that you support and those who are against it as a bunch of Snowden / Greenwald loving Leftees. When those on your side are much more dispciable.

And with that in mind let me ask a question - how does it feel when those who enlist as supporters of your view, those who voted AGAINST the original Amendment by Amash that would kill the Domestic Spying program are then so ashamed of that same program they feel that they must vote for a alternative whose language says that it is against the actions of the program but everyone admits is simply a “fig leaf”?

Does it male you feel good? Principled? Like you are “informed”?

Hey! Would you blow me?

Let me summerize this article for you.

205 voted for an Amedment that would actually kill the program.

409 voted for an Amendment that would do nothing but was worded so that it could be argued that it would.

I’ll do the analysis for you:

409-205 = 204

That is the number of Ch#cken Sh&t lying M*ther F@ckers who think that they can now say that they voted against US Domestic Spying when they didn’t.

So when this all blows up later in court they can feel good that they “covered thier asses”.

Please tell me how this isn’t the case.

Let me put it to you like this: They don’t care about your paranoid fantasies. The little pseudo-libertarians on the left and the right don’t actually want to stop the spying, they want to control it for their own power. That’s why the spying has been going on since the end of WWII - nothing more, nothing less and why the bill also had a bit to prevent the closing of Gitmo.

You’re simply filling the role they want of you - useful idiot - as you distract people from the things they could be doing to make a real difference.

The lack of facts required by someone required to hold this opinion is staggering.

The second Amendment got 409 votes - if those are “pseudo-libertarians” then you just included mostly all of the Congress.

Then, if you actaully read the list of the Dems in Congress that voted for the real Amendment that would actaully end the Domestic Spying, which I KNOW that you haven’t, and can still call them “pseudo-libertarians” then you are really freaking clueless.

And lastly, if you think that what is going on now is just all the spying that has been occurring since WWI then there is no wasting time on discussing this with you. You don’t even know the facts and this vote PROVES it.

If you aren’t smart enough to know His gender, why should I care what you think? Go home, mommy’s calling.

If asked to describe a list of things that consisted of “Geese, Ducks, Swans, Cardinals, Robins” and I said, “Vegtables”. You’d have to conclude that I either didn’t understand what was on the list or that I wasn’t very smart. If you explained the list to me 3 times and what vegtables were and each time I insisted on calling them vegetables each time you would have to conclude that I wasn’t very smart.

So when LGFers insist upon repeatedly calling a list of Congressman who voted for an Amendment to end Domestic Spying that included Democrats like “Conyers, Rangel” and a group of Democratic Senators like “Udall, Wyden and Warren” “pseudo-libertarians” then you can only conclude that they are stupid.

But we all know what is really going on here don’t we?

You guys have all adopted the group think that Snowden is a traitor that Greenwald is a moron so you have to dismiss and discount every fact that doesn’t allow you to maintain that opinion.

So the Congress just (almost) votes to stop a process that was called to our attention by Snowden and Greenwald but you still maintain that it was no big deal and you dismiss a large group of people who normally agree with you on other issues. The least that you could do would be to come up is descriptive titles of them that can’t be so easily shown to be untrue and make your opinions seem so stupid.

Then making absurd generalizations like “Snowden is a lier” because he claimed to have a $200 k per year job when it was actually $120. The last news I read wasn’t about a vote in Congress on the total of his salary but on his claims about Phone Metadata gathering.

So you can think that in your won little LGF world you can snakily make little comments and reference Frank Zappa and then smugly agree how clever you are but I can only say this, you can’t and haven’t produced any arguments or facts that have or could stand-up to the competition from out side scrutiny and yet Snowden through Greenwald has done so that is causing a President that you support to lie, his administration to lie and a very large portion of the Congress that you support, to try and change the laws because of what Snowden and Greenwald have done.

So good or bad, they are participating in changing things.

On this subject, you guys sit around and high five each other about how big of idiots you can be. While doing NOTHING i.e. having no effect but upon yourselves.
