And that is why the GOP isn’t winning any presidential elections anytime soon. Because the Teatards are that close to taking over the GOP, and they are toxic, even to moderate Republicans.

The whole thing is bizarre. I find it hard to believe that Glen Beck doesn’t know that the vast majority of his tea party pals have always been stalwart republicans. That they threw a laughably thin veil of ‘libertarian’ over themselves, which lasted all of a couple minutes, for those paying attention.
They’re libertarian about as much as we liberals are communists.
However their behavior and their actual, real ideology - and policy whims, match those of Mussolini in a scarily uncanny way.
Of course the always furiously deny their extremism, however as we all know, their arguments are a bust, given the number of Tea Partiers who proudly boast about it, and of course they all occasionally let slip their real feelings on the telly. And then there’s people like Cruz and King. True neo-fascists, for all to see. And apparently not right wing enough for the right wing base.

The insurrection from within. I remember how Boehner, and other RW politicians cheered the TPers on in 2009 and 2010, ceding much of their power to them. They are now truly reaping the carelessness their sowed in selecting candidates for Congress at that time. I don’t feel sorry for them, and I don’t feel sorry for those who voted for them and are now worse off than they were in 2010. It’s their fault for getting on the TP bandwagon and not checking to determine whether they were voting for a bunch of whackos or not. Who I do feel sorry for are our citizens whose needs aren’t being addressed because of the ingrained hatred of the people that TPers and their enablers in Congress have for everyone except corporations, bankers, and the very wealthy. If anything should persuade those who don’t vote to begin voting, it’s the refusal of the TPers and other republicans in Congress to do their jobs for the good of the nation and its’ citizens.

Keep dreaming, Glenn. You aren’t capable of leading a takeover, because if you did you’d have to actually get things done and you know you’d hate that.
