Is there anyone who did NOT see something like this coming months ago?

I don’t know if the prosecution could have made a case based on his past behavior or not, legally speaking, but remember that he was arrested for assaulting a police officer (although the charges were later dropped), a restraining order was taken out against him by his ex-fiancee (though the judge also granted one against the fiancee too…a case of birds of a feather flocking together, I suppose), and he lost a job as a security guard because he was too aggressive.

It’s clear that Zimmerman has anger management problems, as this incident further illustrates. Unfortunately, the other participant in the infamous altercation that night is now dead, but it seems to me that his recent past, plus the agitation in his voice when he told the dispatcher, “they always get away,” plus his disregard of the dispatcher’s request not to follow the kid could have and should have been effectively introduced to portray Zimmerman as the aggressor in this incident.

“Don’t you know who I am, bitch?” Bet it went just about like that. Georgie boy thinks he’s 8 feet tall and untouchable.

This CNN article says a gun was found, but not involved in the altercation.

He can probably abuse his wife just fine without a gun. He just needs the gun for black kids.

“He’s in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying step closer and he’s just threatening all of us,” Shellie Zimmerman said in the 911 call.

How Stand Your Ground works when used by an expert.

Yeah the “step closer” bit, sounds like he was trying to set it up so he literally could get either get away with murder, or get away with murder again.

On some sites, the GZ lovers are demonizing Shellie and closing ranks around her soon-to-be ex. The excuses are flying fast and furiously. I’ve said more than once that it’s only a matter of time before GZ ends up in trouble again. When it happens, I will be very interested in seeing how his defenders will react to being forced to face the whole ugly truth about him. They’re so sure that those of us who thought GZ got away with murder are wrong about the type of person he is. If I were a betting person, my money would be on those of us who are pretty good at discerning what’s underneath someone’s public facade and who know that focusing on a single issue (SYG) doesn’t always show who/what someone is.

“We did not find a gun, did not locate a weapon,” said Zach Hudson, public information officer with the Lake Mary Police Department. “Nobody ever saw a gun. A gun is not part of this story.”

That doesn’t mean he didn’t have a gun. His attorney said he did.

“I think everybody got out of hand. There was touching, pushing,” O’Mara said. It was a case of emotions boiling over, he said.
O’Mara also said his client didn’t threaten anyone with his gun: “The gun was holstered under his shirt, and it stayed there the whole time.”
