Provocative story. However, real evidence will be needed for these extraordinary claims.

From what I’ve read, Dr. Bao was one of the worst expert witnesses in recent memory. Zimmie got all the breaks in his trial, and I doubt the Doc is going to win a dime.

To get this case off the ground, Dr. Bao is going to need to show evidence of operating under orders to sabotage the case.

It’s a serious allegation. I wasn’t impressed with the prosecution’s strategy though.

That’s what I’ve been arguing (that Martin could _not_ have been on top even from the evidence that was presented in court. Given the jury I doubt it would have mattered had he been a much better witness as there was no way he was going to be found guilty for offing a black kid.

That’s what stood out to me too, but I agree with prior comments that they need to start making with the evidence.

I’d like to hear what Trayvon Martin’s parents think of this expert testimony.

The politics of the case doomed it from the start. Not the national politics, but the politics and relationship between the prosecutor and the police. The only way she could have won a guilty verdict, would have meant her essentially throwing those pathetic local cops under the bus.. She chose not to - to keep her relationship with them intact.
There was a great article at TPM right when she was first appointed to prosecute the case, predicting she’d not push too hard, and correct;ly predicting that it would mean no real evidence could emerge.

Bao was beyond awful in the courtroom. He was hostile to the prosecution and seemed to be more concerned with covering his own ass.
