Syria, Unions, and Waste

Dear President Obama,
The UN rarely gives us full support on any of our resolutions and the Syrian Resolution is no different. I don’t believe they will even support any economic sanctions. You are always dealing with a stacked deck, with Russia and China fixing the cards.
The agreement with Russia instructing Syria to turn over a full list of chemical weapons within a week’s time is insulting. A regime that has used these weapons, tortures rebels in the hospitals and goes after doctors that treat the rebels, is going to give us a list of chemical weapons, I don’t think so, and the tooth fairy is coming. I think we can do better than this, after all we do have four destroyers sailing off the coast of Syria.
The union leaders came calling and all reports indicate they went home empty handed for now. Get ready for more letters and they won’t be from me. This is what you get when you don’t treat everyone the same. The wavers and exemptions you approved are coming back to haunt you and will always be a footnote in your legacy. Surprise us all and delay the program until it is fixed and we are all on equal ground.
Social Security has paid 1.3 billion dollars to 36 thousand working people disability benefits. This was over a two year period. Is there a possibility in the next three years of your administration you could put a little more emphasis on waste in government. It seems the right thing to do and it would help the deficit.
How many people beside me need to tell you that Larry Summers is not the right person for the Federal Reserve Job? Four democrats on the senate panel to approve him for the job will vote against him. If they vote with the republicans then he is out, so why waste your time. There are more qualified people who can do the job. Don’t waste any political capital on Summers.
