What simpleton wrote this? There’s no link, so can I assume that this is original “thought” from francis?

It’s something he does. Therapy for him, practice drills for us.

” In lite of the fact that mental health is a key reason for gun violence in this country” [sic].

Thirty thousand people are killed every year in this country with firearms. Two-thirds of them are suicides. Francis is actually right, here. Just perhaps not in the way he intended.

re: #1 No Country For Old Haters

Your right , I believe there are simple solutions to problem, not laws that are written that the average person doesn’t understand. The country was built by simple hard working people, so what genius group do you belong to?

re: #2 Decatur Deb

Maybe you are getting the therapy from this simple person. As a simple person, I don’t understand how 535 legislators can’t complete a budget on time and spend within their means, or is that too complicated?

re: #3 John Vreeland

Thank you John. The mental health bill was actually sing by Bush in 2008 and there was no follow up to give the insurance companies a clear path to care. People with mental problems should never be allowed to have guns. There has to be a system where troubled people are red flagged by physicians so investigators can stop the purchases of guns and all purchases should be subject to investigation including ammunition.

Though he’s apparently drinking so much Miller Lite that he forgot how to spell “light.”

The rules for mental health coverage will be written by the end of the year. Link Gee, I wonder why you failed to mention that part.

People using food stamps can buy whatever the fuck kind of food they want. However, they simply do not receive enough in food stamps to eat lobster. Anyway, it’s none of your business what food they purchase.

Oh, and to put spaces between your paragraphs hit the “enter” key twice!

So, Bush dropped the ball and now it’s Obama’s fault.

Carried over from last thread.

So would you support raising taxes on the rich then to narrow the gap between Rich and Poor if you find it’s widening a bad thing?

Francis, is there any event that would convince you it was the GOP and not Obama who insist on continuing to make the ACA an issue rather than just letting it get inacted?

Are you at all open to that possibility or do you just think it is flat out impossible?

13 jamesfirecat  Sun, Sep 29, 2013 9:47:16am

Carried over from last thread because I am done starting new arguments till we finish up our old ones.

“The people who will sign up for Obamacare are the people that need help and that is good and the people that think they will get something for nothing. When they find out it will cost them something they will disappear, because they know they can walk into any ER and be treated.”

If someone has had their legs broken and is brought into an ER what do you expect the ER to do for them?

Do you expect them to not only put their legs in casts, but also a few months down the line provide them with the physical therapy to help them learn to walk again?

An emergency room is fine for an emmergency but you NEED insurance if you are going to be dealing with any sort of protracted problem.

Do you disagree with this Francis?

Still waiting for clarification of your “moral behavior” comment, Francis.

re: #9 Sionainn

Some day you will realize people that take advantage of a program make it hard on the people that need it. The person was a young man who was a beach bum in California. and was proud of the fact that he collected 200.00 a month for his lobster. It is everyone’s business that pays taxes.

Obama dealt away the mental health parts of Obamacare. Bush started it but left office. The comment was made by Patrick Kennedy a democrat from RI.

Do you really believe Obama is helping the poor people in this country because he makes food stamps or any other entitlement available to them. The black caucus is concerned because the Hispanics are moving ahead and the Blacks are not progressing, but my issues with Obama are not his color but his lack of performance. Try to understand the difference.

re: #12 jamesfirecat

I wrote that they should continue to implement the ACA as long as Obama got a guarantee from the GOP that they would support the improvements they need and that would be decided by an independent panel, not the politicians. Get something and give up something else.

re: #15 Sionainn

The law is on the books in Nevada.

I wouldn’t expect Obama to follow Clinton’s behavior, but the professional behavior of other presidents regarding getting the job done is good. Even Clinton got the job done with a GOP congress. What makes it difficult for Obama is he is not working with a good economy and he continues to divide the country with the rich and poor comments. I would think he would want to make the poor better through education and pointing out the successes in the black community and there are many.

re: #13 jamesfirecat

James look up the problem they are having in Mass. People can’t afford the insurance or the co payments/ As I stated before, if the people can only afford to pay 10 dollars a month, give them insurance, but everyone must pay something.

The ACA does not covered undocumented Aliens, so who will pay for them?

And they could afford the insurance and co-pays before Romneycare?

Plus, cite please.

Kick this guy off the program if he’s abusing it, but why destroy the program for everyone else?

Francis, I’m a native Nevadan. I even gave you the link to show me where in the law it states what you claimed. It’s extremely tiring to have you never answer a question or back it up with any proof.
