I don’t think it is about the ACA at all.

I think it is because Barack Obama continually refuses to stop being a non white President.

I hope he fails

Naw, this has nothing at all to do with race. Zip, zero, nada.

The GOP does not accept the legitimacy of any elected (D) official, independent of race. However, GOP racism has caused the insane crap used against Obama to go from 11 to 13 on the 10 point crazy scale

To the surprise of no one who has been paying attention to the antics of the GOP over the last decade or so,

The Republicans have sidelined their demand to end the Affordable Care Act in favor of other long-standing GOP priorities, including cuts to Medicare and Social Security.

“Well, if we can’t kill the ACA right now, let’s go for gutting Medicare and SS instead.”

I like this. Take benefits away from the GOP base. I can’t wait to see how this plays out.

From where I’m sitting, being black while being female, the scale went from 10 to 50. I’ve seen the birtherism, the president dressed as a witch doctor, pics of nooses around his neck, pics of Obama welfare bucks, pics of the WH lawn covered with watermelons and buckets of fried chicken, the word n*gg*r used on the internet to refer to him and people like myself, the criticism of the First Lady’s behind, some calling the FL Moochelle, the piling on to the president if he dares say anything about race, even if he’s asked a race-related question by a member of the press, the way the RW rallied to George Zimmerman’s side when he murdered Trayvon Martin, and the fact that they seemed to think it was “no biggie” that his loving parents lost their child, their increased calls for violent action against President Obama and others with whom they disagree, their worship of guns while saying they’re Jesus’ most devoted followers, etc. It has really been a huge burden on my mind seeing the ugliness and evil that some Americans have displayed toward President Obama and his allies since he took office. I’ve seen/heard some things in the last 4+ years that I hadn’t seen/heard since I was a kid growing up in the South under segregation in the 1950s, and it makes me very sad because my daughter is engaged to a very nice white guy and I fear for their safety every, single day. It has also caused me to wonder how my future grandkids will be treated, since they, like President Obama, will also be bi/multi-racial. Some Americans have really led me to wonder how sane they are. With the racist things they’ve said/done, I’ve begun to view them like one would a pack of rabid dogs, running to and ‘fro, looking to attack those who don’t agree with them.
