I wanted some chewiness, so I bought two types of seitan (“wheat meat”) and fried them up in a couple pats of butter and some olive oil (salt, pepper, smoked paprika).
Then I started to think about starch.
Dropped in the remains of my prepped couscous, added a half-cup of dry and a pat of butter and about a half bottle of beer.
Then I got extra-crazy:
* Handful of crushed Hijiki seaweed.
* Can of jumbo black olives.
Trying to maximize umami.
It tastes FANTASTIC!
