Has Todd’s epic Internet ass-chewing actually caused him some shame?

Do we see signs of the Beltway circle-jerk looking outside their hot, steamy little tent and noticing all these ACTUAL AMERICAN CITIZENS out here in the cold? Shut out of the conversation?

“Morning Joe” played footage of Cruz saying that the poll was “heavily weighted” with an “awful lot” of Democrats.

UNSKEW!11!!!!!

(And I guess it has nothing to do with people wanting to identify with the side that isn’t batshit crazy, right?)

There goes Todd’s future career on Foxtard

Todd woke up and said “I’m a man. Let me act as one!” Or something.

I’m actually willing to cut Chuck a little bit of slack here…when he went on his “facts aren’t our business” tear, it sounded like something entirely separate that he’d been chewing on for awhile and just spat out at the wrong time.

Because the actual points he was making weren’t that untrue; there actually are people on the left who seem to expect the media to have their backs more often than is the media’s responsibility, and that showed a lot during the ACA debate. He happened to state this complaint immediately after being asked about lies and fact-checking, which made it sound like he was saying that wasn’t his job, but I’ll believe his backpedal mainly because I think he’s usually more OK than a lot of people in the business.

Like the vets who claim to have been ‘hijacked’ by the teahadists in D.C, and the republican ‘moderates’ who are suddenly ‘shocked’ at the nihilism and denialism of the teahadists they helped get to congress, thinking that te treasonous poison they were spewing to get there, was merely talk … Todd is only now beginning to see that those he enabled will take a few hundred miles if he gives an inch? That they really are just a bunch of children having numerous temper tantrums?
He only now sees it. Just as it becomes to late. After years of telling everyone that they’re wrong - that they have a point, that they’re not THAT unreasonable. Suddenly he asks what planet the teahadists are on? It’s the same planet Todd has been on, apparently up until the past 24 hours.

Fuck him. Total fucking coward.

re: #6 polisurgist

I guess so. But the fact is, the media really did have the backs of the anti-ACA crusaders. They pumped the accusations, they showed the protests as much as Fox(yet didn’t bother to show larger protests regarding things like gay rights. MUCH larger protests), they hosted right wingers on Sunday shows much, much more than anyone from the centre-right (the Dems) or ‘the left’.
So to say that anyone ‘expected’ support from the media, is a misreading.
I think it’s far more accurate to say there has been a lot of shock around the fact that the media didn’t seem to need to tell their viewers the truth about the accusations. They didn’t bother with balance. They didn’t bothjer to interview people who were FOR the law.
By the way - if they’d had the back of ‘the left’, the ACA would be seen as what it is: a pro-business, republican-written compromise. In between greed-is-good and single payer, community-is-good. It didn’t destroy the insurance industry, but it will enable tens of millions of people to have access to healthcare without bankrupting them. The media didn’t just not have the back of ‘the left’. Come on.
