The only thing I liked about that awful movie Pearl Harbour was Ben Affleck’s character flying a Spitfire over the Dover coast before the attack.
The scene where the two heroes are dogfighting Zeroes in P40s at nap of earth, and living, still makes me ill. I can handle only so much scriptwriter intervention.

Dogfighting with a P-40 against lightweight Japanese fighters was possible…but it took very specialized tactics (diving through formations at high speed from out of the sun and then corkscrewing contra your propeller torque…which the Japanese planes had a hard time doing).
