Well this is why your party has problems. If John Cornyn isn’t right wing enough, who is? David Barton. Yeah I can just imagine him in the Senate……

More than 1,000 (zero exaggeration, that is an actual number) tea party and republican party leaders

I think, now, I understand why the GOP/TeaGop can’t find their way out of a wet paper sack.

Every one of those arrogant little pissants thinks HE is in charge of the Tea Party.

If you have an organization with more leaders than followers, you by definition have a MOB.

As usual, you’re missing the big picture of what’s wrong with your party. Cornyn winning won’t solve the problem. Not as long as the GOP actively courts the tea party, which they’ve been doing since their defeat in 2008.

A Barton nomination is not impossible given the ability of the tea party and fundy churches to mobilize for, and dominate, the primaries.
I welcome such a development: Democratic copy-writers would have a field day with Barton’s historical fabrications and weird libertarian theology. It would be a giant step toward turning Texas blue.

I strongly suspect Barton will come to the Palin realization…that grifting is a lot more lucrative than elected office.

Yes, but grifting by making people think you want to be elected is one of the most lucrative grifts of all.

Btw this is definitely, definitely, definitely not anti-semitism on Redstate:

Union bosses and other out-of-state liberals-from Hollywood to New York-are pouring millions into the Virginia governor’s race.

Because it’s those Hollywood and New York types who secretly control the Unions to do their dirty work - amirite?
