I’m down with this strategy.

All he is doing is stating clearly and with wider distribution what dozens of posters here have been saying since very shortly after the 2008 elections.

There is no possibility of compromise or any joint co-operation with the current Republican party. When we do embrace their own ideas simply for the sake of getting something done they repudiate them and claim that they never backed them in the first place.

That pattern was clear even before the 2010 elections and it still has not changed, why else do you think they got the “Party of No” moniker?

The GOP and their increasingly vulgar open sore called the Tea Party do not want compromise or non partisanship. They are victims of their own lies and propaganda to the point that reality is even suspect to them. I long believed Obama thought that if he truly played hardball with the ignorant and insane he would look bad. There is no wisdom to pony up concessions to a bully who will only demand more. The Democrats, if not by now, better realize the endgame of the GOP. Pure, unadulterated power to implement and control every social, energy and environmental legislation to please only the pure and moneyed interests they lick the boots of. They are vile and small and offer nothing.

Expecting rational behaviour from addicts is expecting too much.

And the Tea Part are addicts.
