Here is a proposal from The Atlantic to not only abolish DST, but reduce the 4 timezones in the continental US to two!

I would personally miss DST in the summer, but not having to go through these changes twice per year (especially now that they are relatively close together) and not having to deal with jet lag flying around the country would be brilliant.
