Chris Christie Once Again Redefines Phrase “Bully Pulpit”
“Why,” a New Jersey teacher asked Gov. Chris Christie (R), “do you continue to spread the myth that our schools and teachers are failing?”
The teacher who asked this at a campaign rally in Somer’s Point on Saturday (ahead of Tuesday’s gubernatorial election in the state) is Melissa Tomlinson, an elementary school teacher who also runs an after-school program. Christie answered in his trademark Christie way: by yelling at her. He pointed a finger at her, as this picture shows, and shouted:
“Because they are!”
As a NJ resident, one of my bigger frustrations is how many of my fellow Jerseyites and much of the country (including many Democrats) view Christie as a moderate uniter who reaches across the aisle.
If this is your idea of a uniter, you really, really need to recalibrate your logic and empathy centers.
Seriously, the only reason Christie is seen as moderate is because he’s not bat shit insane like Ted Cruz or Michelle Bachmann. However, when you couple this with Christie’s recent statement he’d discriminate against his own kids if they were gay, it goes to show how off-the-rails the supposed rational thinkers in the GOP are.
