Is it really too much to ask that retail employees get ONE GUARANTEED DAY OFF a year?

Yes, apparently it is too much to ask.
Who are all the people who shop on holidays? I understand (and appreciate) that some people have to work (bus drivers, doctors, etc.) and even having a drug store open here and there can be a wonderful thing-kids can suddenly develop interesting symptoms at the drop of a hat, but really, who needs to buy a cheap T-shirt on Thanksgiving?

I hate Walmart. I stopped shopping there years ago. I celebrated when my city council rejected a bid to build a Walmart here.

I thought people watched football on Thanksgiving.

Srsly Walmart you suck.
