If the Dems who voted for this bill think they’ve appeased the GOP voters in their next election, they’re going to be very disappointed.

That’s true. In fact, 27 of 39 Democrats who voted against the ACA (they were mostly in red states) in 2010 were voted out that November anyway.

My guess would be in a Red state that Terri is in the token Democratic district. I was saying to my dad, after seeing Jim Clyburn on MSNBC, that I’ll bet his district wanders all over the place. I had an image in my head of lines running off all over the place from Jim’s neck of the woods. And by golly, a Wikipedia search shows that is exactly what Jim’s district looks like. There’s a tentacle that runs all the way up the interstate from the Charleston area to encompass part of West Columbia, of all places.
